Holiday Countdowns

Each page counts down live to the start of the holiday, midnight at the beginning of the day, in the time zone your device is set to. When the day arrives the page says so, and the day after it moves on to next year's date automatically.

Days are counted by calendar date, so the number stays correct across daylight saving changes and leap years. Thanksgiving and Black Friday use the United States rule: Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November.

A countdown is most useful when it helps you plan. Each holiday page has a short checklist you can work through as the days pass.
